CAUTIOUS OPTIMISM AS CINPRES REGISTERS FLUSH OF ORDERS
Managing Director Jon Butler said the company – which counts External Gas Molding and the Plastic Expulsion Process amongst its offerings – has experienced a sharp upturn in global customer confidence.
But the firm says it is approaching the upturn in business with ‘cautious optimism’.
“Let me spell this out very clearly – since May, things have looked good, commercially, but only a fool would assume that this had any significance beyond a good few months,” said Mr Butler.
“We are fortunate in that much of our offering focuses on delivering better value for customers through technical innovations and we have been successful in getting that message across. But I firmly believe that the effects of the recession will be with us for the foreseeable future and I am definitely not talking things up or engaging in the counting of chickens.
“The first half of the year has been a challenge; however, we now have a different commercial picture. Forward-thinking customers do seem to have an eye on recovery – but that is a long way from saying the recovery is here.”
